to school back in style.

PennDOT now offers its first Federal Safe Routes to School funding. With $12,649,000 in federal cost reimbursement available, PennDOT is ready to fund projects with the goal of enhancing safety or increasing the usage of walking and biking routes around K-8 schools. If you would like to apply for a grant for your SRTS program efforts, please be sure to address the “Five E’s of SRTS”: Education, Encouragement, Enforcement, Evaluation and Engineering. This website will offer valuable resources and advice to help you get started.
